One girl,a blog and some coupons can go a long way. I started couponing way back in the day before computers when you had to cut out all the coupons and file them. I didn't start couponing as a hobby, but as a way to survive. After my marriage of 16 years ended I found myself with four children and struggling to pay the bills. I needed to find a way to save big money. Learning the coupon system has allowed me get most of my groceries,drug store items and clothing almost free. I started teaching my friends and family,but a lot of people are still skeptical that you can actually get anything for free. I am retired from Publix Supermarkets so I know my way around a grocery store. When I first started using coupons at Publix (The store I worked in)They were alarmed when I walked out with $350 in groceries that I had only paid $65.00 for. The next day I was pulled into the office and had to explain my savings. I'm now remarried, adopted two boys and have two foster children. Not only am I chasing kids, I'm chasing deals. Couponing has changed for the better with all the online information and tools. I now teach others how to save with free classes at the local library.
